There are more than 100 autoimmune conditions, including well-known conditions like Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, and lupus—and some can take years to diagnose. But certain biomarkers can reveal chronic inflammation and immune dysregulation long before major symptoms may appear.
